The ultimate goal of minecraft is to defeat the ender dragon which isnt so simple. Tasks that need to be completed to defeat the ender dragon consist of finding the stronghold, finding the portal and placing the eyes in the portal once all these tasks are completed you can try take on the ender dragon. May you come out victourious there will be a portal awaiting you that will take you back home and show you some credits. Too easy? you can change the difficulty of the game ranging from easy to hardcore with hardcore being a 1 life gamemode. If you are looking for a more peaceful approach to the game there is a creative mode that lets you do anything in the game, there is plenty that you can build, it all comes down to your imagination.
